Peace building Projects

As a institution, SUPKEM plays a key role in advancing peace and social cohesion in Kenya. As a respected voice within Muslim communities, our Peace Building Programs aim to foster peaceful coexistence, conflict resolution, and prevent violent extremism.

Focus Areas

Conflict mediation & dialogue facilitation:
We convene community dialogue forums and provide safe platforms for conflict resolution and strengthening communities cohesion.

National advocacy for peaceful coexistence: We engage with government and interfaith networks to advocate for inclusive, democratic governance frameworks that promote national unity.

Peace education & capacity building: We develop peace education materials, train religious and youth leaders, and community actors on conflict sensitivity, peacebuilding, and mediation skills.
